German writer Sandra Voyter becomes the chief suspect after her husband Samuel falls to his death outside their Alpine home. Their visually impaired son Daniel is the only nearby witness, while recordings and testimony expose competing accounts of the marriage.

Multilingual testimony, audio evidence, domestic video, architectural models, and repeated returns to the house give interpretation real consequences—Sandra Hüller's controlled opacity and Milo Machado-Graner's attentive Daniel keep judgment emotionally costly.
