Why it belongs
Super Deluxe makes Chennai a dazzling conscience-bound pinball machine, joining taboo, tenderness, pulp danger, philosophy, and black comedy without flattening difference.

Thiagarajan Kumararaja's saturated production design and crosscutting let saturated color, crowded streets, television images, abrupt music, split narratives, and tonal swerves keep chance visibly active. Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, Fahadh Faasil, and the ensemble give each storyline its own emotional gravity.
